During a Nintendo Voice Chat podcast recorded in December 2021, Peer Schneider had mention some interesting points about the future of Nitendo's development. “I was able to hang out with some people in the industry afterward, and it does sound like Nintendo's going to have a pretty good year next year, so I would not take the absence of big stuff as a sign that maybe Breath of the Wild is delayed or they don't have other stuff" he says.
Furthermore, during the discussion of lacking massive open world games on Nitendo Switch, he said "I think that will probably change next November when we're playing Breath of the Wild 2". These 2 statement which he made could be a sign that Breath of the Wild 2 might actually comes out in 2022!
it is not entirely clear that this will happens. As Schneider spoke with the Game Awards, he doesn't mention anyone from Nintendo itself, which suggest that this is coming from a thirdhand sources. Also when taken this into consideration, November might sounds a little bit more like a guess than a definitive fact. The schedule could easily be changes to next Fall. Especially with the Covid-19 cases rising and game development is still working at a slow pace.
